Poh Poh’s Chinese Spare Ribs
A simple Chinese spare rib recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is quick and easy to throw together and they always end up tasting delicious!

- 1.5 kg Pork side ribs 1 pack
- 300 mL Chinese BBQ Sauce enough to coat the ribs
- 1 tbsp Garlic Minced
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
Coat ribs with Chinese BBQ sauce
Mix in garlic and cornstarch
In a steamer pot, bring to a boil, and then simmer for 1 hour. It is ready when the meat shrinks and starts to pull away from the bone.
Can serve with rice and your choice of vegetables; bok choy, chinese greens, carrots.
Skim off excess oil when ribs have finished cooking.
