Ingredients
Takoyaki Flour Mixture:
1
cup
flour
1 1/2
tbsp
corn starch
2
eggs
2
cup
of water
1
tspn dashi powder
1/2
tsp
salt
½
cup
Cabbage
chopped
Filling:
Shrimp
Octopus
Squid
Crab Meat
Sausage
I like to top it off with japanese mayo, bull dog vegetable katsu sauce, and fish flakes/ bonito flakes.
Instructions
Dissolve the dashi powder in the water. Then combine all ingredients and whisk.
Heat up your takoyaki pan with a drizzle of oil. Transfer batter into a measuring cup for easy pouring.
Pour in batter until each ball is filled, and slightly overflowing. Add in your choice of filling.
When the batter is sticking together, flip ¼ turn and use chopsticks to press any overflowing batter into the takoyaki ball.
Try to work quickly to ensure none of them burn.
Continue flipping until it is perfectly round and golden brown.
Serve with sauce and enjoy!
