Pan Fried Asparagus

- 1 bunch of asparagus
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tsp garlic
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Prepare your asparagus by washing it, and then trimming off the tough ends.
Heat a saucepan with butter on medium-high heat. Add asparagus, salt and pepper and toss to ensure that it is evenly coated. Cook for approximately 12 minutes, until the asparagus is tender and you are able to easily stick a fork through. Add garlic and fry for an additional 60 seconds.
Remove from heat, and toss in parmesan cheese.
You can tell if asparagus is fresh, if you are able to use your fingernail and easily puncture the stalk of the asparagus.
Keep your asparagus fresh in your fridge, but keeping the ends in a bit of water. This will help keep the asparagus hydrated and last way longer!
